Jim Brown
Jim Brown is a Managing Director and a founding member of TH Lee Putnam Ventures, a $1.1BN private equity fund focusing on growth investments in middle-market companies, where he specializes in financial services and business services investments. He leads the firm’s Financial Services practice and is responsible for several active investments, including Liquidnet, Currenex, ResMAE, Sentient Jets, and Velocity Express.
Prior to TH Lee Putnam Ventures, Jim was a Senior Vice President at GE Equity, where he was responsible for strategic and financial investments in technology, business services, and media companies.
Prior to GE, he was in the Corporate Business Development group of Lehman Brothers, and before that, he was a consultant at Bain & Company. He began his career in the media industry, serving with A.C. Nielsen in research and CBS Television Network in marketing.
Jim received an M.B.A. with Honors from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar. He received a B.S. from New York University. |
